Unbeknownest to them a group of the Illuminate had already aqquired the Relic for their Scientific Crystaline Enitity Mechanized Experiments. Since some of their own were part of that Secret Society and kept the knowledge to themsleves; Eventually They died out, refusing to mix their obvious two steps higher evolutionary understanding of life with the rest as a worker class. The locals adpoted few of their (police-like) pratices, tempering them with the Justice of a Unaminous Pledge unto the Democratic principles they valued and their Republic that still stands.
